Glenda Polanco
Program Director (she/ella)
Glenda Polanco is originally from El Salvador. She is a first generation graduate with a MBA. She is passionate about assisting the Latino community, especially Latinx youth to achieve their dreams of pursuing a higher education. She is a huge advocate of mental health and healing generational trauma to holistically explore the potential within each of us and achieve happiness. Currently, she works as a Project Coordinator at a logistics and supply chain pharmaceutical company in the cell and gene department.

Rubi Herrera Franco
Director of Organizational Growth & Strategy (she/ella)
Rubi Herrera Franco was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Rubi grew up undocumented and became an activist and community organizer as a Sophomore in high school. Rubi holds a Master of Social Work degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is passionate about building a national network centered around upholding human dignity. Her work at the Student Success Agency focuses on supporting youth in their search to find their identity and in the pursuit of their dreams. Rubi is deeply interested in coaching youth in mindful self-compassion, self-resilience and empowerment. She is interested in contributing to educational, opportunity and health equity by providing youth with vital support services from the beginning of their adolescent life.
Gina Peralta Porras
Program Coordinator (she/ella)
Gina Peralta Porras is a P4E Scholar Alum, a graduate of Community and Justice Studies from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. She has expertise in community outreach, social justice, and nonprofit leadership, specializing in organizing and mobilizing communities, creating inclusive spaces, and amplifying the visibility of social causes. Gina is a Project Coordinator with Pupusas for Education and has been an active member of Siembra NC and Mijente.
She is passionate about immigrant rights, political advocacy, and building community solidarity.
Outside of work, Jay enjoys exploring local CD and vinyl shops to expand her collection and visiting furniture, home, and thrift shops to decorate her home.
Daisy Sosa
Program Coordinator (she/ella)
Daisy Sosa Garnica was born and raised in Greensboro, NC but her roots are in Oaxaca, Mexico. She graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a B.S in Health Sciences and a concentration in Healthcare. Her interests lie in the intersection of public health justice, research, and in creating equitable communities. She is currently the program coordinator at Pupusas For Education work. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, creating art, and spending time with my family.
Jairo Herrera
Financial Manager (He/el)
Jairo Andres Herrera was born and raised in Albertson, North Carolina. He is passionate about empowering the Latinx community to grow both personally and professionally, especially in the areas of finance and education. A proud first-generation college graduate, Jairo earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2018 from the University of Mount Olive, followed by an MBA in 2024.
With a deep commitment to equity and justice, and a strong background in business, Jairo works diligently to drive positive organizational and financial growth at P4E. As a former college athlete, he embodies discipline and a strong work ethic—qualities he brings to P4E, along with a desire to foster growth, efficiency, and a thriving financial future.
His dedication to P4E is unwavering. Motivated by the impactful programs P4E offers the Latinx community, Jairo hopes more community members will take full advantage of the opportunities available.

Karisha Campos
Karisha Campos is an office professional based in Durham. With expertise in Organizational Operations creating SOP’s (standard operating procedures), process improvement strategies, and training staff members.
Currently she is the Board Chair for P4E and is passionate about helping businesses become and remain compliant.
Outside of work she enjoys baking cookies, braiding hair, and overall creating.
Rachel Park
Rachel Park is a law clerk based in New York working in corporate law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Rachel worked at an immigration law firm before attending law school, and has a passion for advocating for undocumented youth.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, and playing the flute.
Marco Cervantes Garcia
Marco Antonio Cervantes Garcia is an Assistant Engineer based in North Carolina specializing in environmental engineering.
Marco Antonio Cervantes Garcia has worked with NC Dream Team and has a passion for Humanity.
Outside of Engineering, he enjoys challenges, family time, walks with other hearts, and hydrating.
Maria Peralta
Maria De Los Angeles Peralta Porras is a Community Organizer at Siembra NC. With expertise in community outreach, event planning, and base building, she specializes in engaging with young Latine people interested in making a change in North Carolina.
Maria Peralta has worked within the Durham Public Schools and two Latine-led electoral campaigns with Siembra NC. Maria is passionate about building a North Carolina that feels safe and welcoming to all regardless of one's immigration status.
Outside of Community Organizing, she enjoys Zumba, hiking, and traveling.
Ricky Rodriguez
Ricardo Rodriguez is a Puerto Rican and Mexican visual designer, illustrator, muralist, and cultural organizer based in Durham, North Carolina. With expertise in printmaking, branding, and visual design, they specialize in crafting both visuals and experiences for movement spaces and organizations.
Ricardo has worked with Scalawag Magazine, the Poor People’s Campaign, Fight for $15, Poder NC, Dream Defenders, Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora, and many more organizations, and has a passion for the essential role of art, design, and culture for the cultivation of rooted and radical social change.
Outside of visual design, they enjoy reading, poetry, cooking with community, and traveling all over learning about communities and their histories.
